How this number works
Break-even recoveryis ThingConnect’s price divided by your machine-hour rate, converted to minutes: how much downtime, per machine per day, you’d need to catch to cover the subscription. It doesn’t depend on how many machines you run — a per-machine price against a per-machine cost cancels the fleet size out.
That figure is usually a small slice of what a plant is already losing. The calculator shows it both as raw minutes and as a percentage of the downtime you entered, so you can judge for yourself how small a fix it actually requires.
Everything past that break-even point is upside. The half-recovered scenario below it is one illustration of what that upside could look like — not a guarantee, and not a number we’ve measured for your plant. The only way to know your real number is to look at your machines.
This calculator uses illustrative defaults — 15 machines, 45 minutes/day, a ₹1,200/hour rate, 330 working days/year, and ThingConnect’s current published price. Replace them with your own numbers.
